38 years after, NABAMS gets first female president

The Business Administration department of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic has broken the jinx of 38 years by producing first female president in the history of the department.
PRESS CLUB MAPOLY observed that Male students have always emerged as president at the department since the establishment of the institution.
However, things take a new turn when Oladejo Folashade, an HND1 Student of Business Admin defeated her male counterpart with 4 votes to clinch the presidential seat of the department.
PRESS CLUB MAPOLY gathered that the winner emerged with 138votes, while her opponent, Mr Onanuga Segun Victor had 134votes in the election.
Many students have opined that she would perform than her male counterpart, describing her emergence as record breaking in the history of the department.
Some of the students who spoke with PRESS CLUB MAPOLY described Oladejo as a lady with the right intellect to have overcome all her shortcomings toward achieving her goal.
The incumbent president for 2017/2018 session, Comrade Micheal Adeshina commended Oladejo for being courageous and the only female amidst the other 7 departmental executives.
He said “She broke records being the first female Departmental President in MAPOLY, this should serve as a good example to other females in rejuvenating their sense of leadership as a leader is not made by gender.
“She has been destined to lead that is why she emerged just like the saying Que Sera Sera -Whatever will be will be”.
Oladejo speaking with Press Club MAPOLY disclosed that she got inspired during her ND days, saying that she ensure she followed her dream towards becoming a leader.
She said, “The inspiration arose from my dreams of making our students ready for the business world at large,
“I will love if our students are not just academically sound alone but also are prepared to take up difficult tasks and are self-developed and established from now, And also I will like a trail in the school”
Folashade who already pave way for the females not to limit themselves, adding that they should try to get involved in better things instead of whiling away their time.
She said” I am sure that after my emergence, we will see females that also will rise up to take tasks that are tagged men title, I always love to leave a trial where I am. I encourage all other female to wake up and start doing things for the betterment of everyone and the society at large”.
