One time president of Press Club MAPOLY, Lekan Yinusa on Saturday got joined in holy matrimony with his heartthrob, Yemisi Famuyiwa
Lekan, a renowned journalist and Presenter with Sweet FM in Abeokuta, is a graduate of Mass Communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic and was the President of the press club MAPOLY for 2012/13 academic session.
His wife, Yemisi is also a graduate of Mass Communication from MAPOLY during the 2015/16 academic session.
The joining was done at the Diocese of Egba west, St. Michael’s Anglican Church, Ago Oba, Abeokuta, Ogun state.
In his sermon, Reverend Canon John Akintola urged the couple to uphold the tenets of the Holy matrimony, urging them to always imbibe the teaching of God in their marriage.
He further advised the couple not to allow third party in their affairs, saying they should seek God’s intervention in any situation they found themselves.
His words, “although, I don’t know what the both of you address each other as, but as a wife you must not call your husband by his name because you must learn to respect your husband.
“Also as husband, you must not act on whatever you are been told about your wife because you must not give room to a third party in your marriage.
“And finally the both of you must learn and ensure that you mediate in the word of God always so as to show you the way to go. You must learn to be with God at all times because that alone, that sustain your marital life.”
The reception which followed immediately after the church service at the famous St. Paul Cathedral hall saw in attendance people of high caliber, journalists of repute, alumni and staff of Moshood Abiola polytechnic even the press club of which he is an alumnus was well represented.
