Students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic have expressed happiness over non-commencement of the Second semester examination which was slated to start on December 10, 2018.
The students who trooped into their various classes earlier on Monday to await their fate whether the exams will start or not happiness that it didn’t start after all.
Press Club MAPOLY observed that after the students waited for the first phase of the examination which was supposed to start by 9:00am and they didn’t see traces of it, they felt relieved.
Some of the students who spoke with PCM said they are not prepared for the examination at all because they were tired of the school activities.
They added that the only thing delaying them is exam, saying if the school is not ready, they would travel.
One of the students, name withheld, said,” the examination is not even supposed to start because some students are yet to see their results, so I don’t know how possible it is for us to start exams without exam pass”, She said.
Another student simply identified as Tayo, said the school should not have posted the time table when they knew exams will not hold.
“They just threw the students into confusion and uncertainty”, she addedm
A student from Mass cmunication department identified as Seun said she was not expecting any exams again this year.
She claim she only came to school to collect her course form and do other registrations.
“Why will we start exams when ASUP is going on strike on Wednesday? If we start it, is it going to be suspended till the strike is called off?”, she claimed.
However, investigation by PCM showed that there is no certain date the exams will start, but students were advised to continue studying.
