The Imam of Ibara Housing Estate, Ustaz AbdulAzeez Adebayo has urged Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Muslim students to forgive who ever offended them before the commencement of the holy month, Ramadan.
He said this while delivering a lecture at the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) MAPOLY weekly Usrah and unveiling of Ramadan theme ‘Pertinacity in the midst of modern nemesis’ on Sunday.
AbdulAzeez I’m reference to this period encouraged students to prepare spiritually, Medically, Technologically, Financially, Practically and Psychologically.
His words, "Ramadan is approaching try to forgive those that who has offended you, there are several benefits from fasting during Ramadan.
"Allah will reward anybody that fast, it’s a shield from sins and temptation, it helps Allah to forgive sins"
Speaking with PCM after the unveiling of the theme, the chairman Ramadan Committee, Bisiriyu Idris claimed that campus is full of immoral acts and this year Ramadan programme is designed to curb them.
"It is obvious that our Campus has been stained with several immoral acts particularly among the youths. Our intention is to correct these societal illness through ‘Pertinacity:In the midst of modern nemesis’ in the Holy month of Ramadan.
"This edition of the Ramadan Project tagged ‘PERTINACITY: In The Midst Of Modern Nemesis’ is aimed to educate, enlighten and help the Muslim students develop courage to withstand every situation. It is also promised to be a soul lifting one." he said
Speaking on the current situation on campus, Idris admitted that MSSN management are in top measure to allow the programme effective to his targeted audience.
"The Management is working to profer a lasting solution to the current state our citadel of learning and we believe Insha Allah, it will yield a positive result." he said
The Ramadan Month, known as the holy month by Muslim faithfuls, is a period of seclusion to fasting and rending of prayers to Allah.
