Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has nominated the rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Dr Samson Odedina as part of nominees for commissioner in Ogun State.
The list containing the nominees was disclosed on Thursday, 12th December, 2019 and has been sent to the Ogun State House of Assembly for confirmation. However, port folios of office for the nominees is yet to be fixed.
The anticipated nominations is coming after Dapo Abiodun’s seven months in office.
Recall also that the rector on November 30th marked his one year in office as Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic.
Odedina was the Provost, Federal College of Agriculture, Akure before his MAPOLY appointment.
Speculations have it that the Rector may be appointed as a commissioner for Agriculture owing to his profile and experience as well as his contributions to Agricultural development in the state and Nigeria at large.
This suggest that, if confirmed as commissioner, the rector may have to resign his appointment and a new rector be appointed.
