…as students’ fight for shuttle,loses valuables

Tansportation to school for students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic is becoming increasingly difficult.
Students are currently facing a hard time getting bus to convey them to school from Oluwo,Panseke and other areas.
Press Club MAPOLY observed
that most shuttle buses on campus were not up to 30.
Most students get stranded as well as struggle to get bus at some of the major bus stop, finding it hard to get to school.
It is noteworthy that the increase in the number of students on campus as regards the number of buses and cabs available led to the the problem been experienced by students daily.
Also,the crises the polytechnic faced before the intervention of the Ogun State Governor,Dapo Abiodun in bringing MAPOLY back to status quo has led to the departure of some of the bus and cab drivers from the Polytechnic.
PCM also observed that the deplorable state of the road linking the Polytechnic from Iyana-Oloke has made most bus drivers and cabs stop plying the road in recent times.
As against the Panseke-Oluwo bus stop,most students have resulted to boarding shuttle buses from the nearest bus stops available.
Speaking with PCM,Alimah Ismail,an ND I student of Accountancy disclosed that she had lost her phone during the fight and rush for shuttle to convey her to school.
According to her,"This transportation of a thing is getting worse every day, I lost my phone last week because of this shuttle wahala, I left home as early as 7 and with that,I still need to fight to get a bus"
Also, an HND1 student of Mass Communication,Abayomi Ishola said,"I would have left my hostel as early as 6:30 and yet i find it hard to get shuttle.
"The stress faced in getting shuttle has been unbearable for me"he said.
Also,Adesewa Babayemi a student of computer science lamented that she got injured severally all in a bid to get bus to school and still had to miss classes most of the time.
"If this is how we will continue, MAPOLY has failed us,how will I leave home and fight hard to get to school and yet i will miss class,having been injured several times on this struggling things, we can’t continue like this"
Azeezat Adetunji an HND student pleads with the school management and drivers union to provide more shuttle for students in order to reduce the
problem.
"Most of the students are yet to resume yet we experience so much problem trying to get bus.
"We hope to experience tremendous changes"she said
