…as damaged road on campus wears new look

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has approved the rehabilitation of the road linked to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic from Iyana Oloke to Ojere.
The Head Public Relations and Protocol of the Polytechnic,Mr Yemi Ajibola disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
Ajibola said the Government in a bid to find a lasting solution to the problems encountered on the road directed the Ogun State Public Works Agency (OGPWA) to begin some palliative measures in the school premises.
He stated that the road will be extended from the school gate to Iyana-Oloke after the completion of the internal roads.
The PRO also said government will ensure smooth vehicular mobility within the school axis urging the road users to exercise patience and comply with the rules of the traffic wardens.
“Road users are,therefore, urged to exercise patience and take caution on the portions marked for diversion to avoid collision or accidents.
“However, it has become an offence for anyone to drive against the traffic by the offense while exiting the campus, as defaulter would be sanctioned and prosecuted.”
It would be recalled that the Iyana-Oloke Ojere road which students described as death trap was abandoned by the administration of the former Governor,Ibikunle Amosun.
The renovation of the road from Panseke was not extended to the polytechnic road.
Students and motorists plying the route have also complained bitterly about the deplorable state of the road which makes transportation hard for the users.
Meanwhile,the damaged parts of the polytechnic’s road on campus had started to wear a new look.
