The National Association of Ogun State Student(NAOSS) and National Association of Egba Students(NAES)Mapoly Chapter has inaugurated new executives for the 2019/2020 academic session.
The inauguration ceremony that ushered in the new executives was held on Wednesday after a debate among the contestants witnessed by the association’s staff adviser,Mr Mukiala Ademuyiwa and some past executives of the Association.
NAOSS outgoing President,Comrade Sodiq Ogunderu appreciated God and key stakeholders who supported his administration.
“To every leaders,stakeholders and everyone who in one way or the other contributed to our success I say thank you,God bless you all.
“One tree cannot make a forest,i won’t have gotten to this level of handling over the mantle of leadership to another person if not for the support I received from my supportive executives,I love you all”.
NAOSS newly inugurated executives are;Martins Ifeoluwa,President;Osundipe Emmanuel,Vice President and Adenuga Adeolu as the General Secretary.
Others are Oyetola Oluwasegun,Financial Secretary;Arubina Blessing Treasurer;Ariyo Tunde,Auditor;Aribo Benjamin,Social Director;Alao Sunday,Public Relations Officer;Erinfolami Ganiyat,Welfare Director and Akinbode Ebenezer as Assistant General Secretary.
In his acceptance speech the newly elected president Martins Ifeoluwa thank God and appreciated all those who have been supportive to his aspiration.
“My sincere appreciation goes to the immediate Past President of NAOSS Mapoly Chapter,Sodiq Ogunderu and his fellow executives.May God continue to increase you in knowledge.
“Also,to my region National Association of Egba Students(NAES )Mapoly Chapter under the leadership of Alake Adebakin Olufemi Omoboriowo a.ka MARCELO also to all the leaders In the house, your Era has taken Egba Students of Mapoly Chapter to a greater path.You will forever be remembered for moving the Association forward.
“To my Advisers Comrade Adeniran Ibrahim and Comrade Kushoro Faruq only God can repay you all for what you have done for me before and during my aspiration to become the next president of this association and to all my fellow friend and colleagues in and outside this Institution, God bless u all.
“To we newly elected executives, we have received the mantle of leadership, may God guide,protect and strengthen us through our administration”.
Speaking with Press Club MAPOLY the newly elected president of NAOSS,Comrade Martins Ifeoluwa promised to resolve the issue of bursary for Ogun State students which according to him has not been given for the past six years.
Ifeoluwa said he intends to meet with relevant stakeholders as well as past presidents to ensure that the bursary is awarded.
“It is well known in Ogun State that we have alot of issues as regards bursary.It’s been long now that we have our bursary in this institution at least now it over six years.To get the bursary is a gradual process,am hoping that with God things will be settled.”
The newly elected president also promised to take the association to enviable heights.
He stated that orientation will be held for regions and members to avoid them dragging the name of the association into the mud and also to make the association known to all Ogun State students on campus.
“I intend to make all Ogun State Students in this institution know about this great association with the help of the regions under Ogun State.I’ll like to
gather them together to know how to make NAOSS a great association and to be well know in the institution.”
Ifeoluwa also disclosed that plans are underway to kickstart the NAOSS freshers cup to allow students of Ogun State benefit from sporting activities.
“Am planning ahead to have the NAOSS freshers cup so that students of Ogun State can atleast benefits from all the sporting activities in the area of football, baseketball, table tennis and others.
”Day is normal for all association which everybody is concern about.I intend having a colourful day in the institution. With the help of God and my executives I pray my tenure works out well.”
