Following the out break of COVID-19 and the suspension of academic and sporting activities in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic,CEO of Naira Sports,Hassan AbdulSalam and Faruq Ajao have launched the first online sport competition for Mass Communication Students.
The Online Sports competition tagged "AMACOS Rep Your Team" will be the first of its kind in the department.It aimed to test the students knowledge of sport and also present amazing prize to the winners.
The competition is slated to kick off via Whatsapp on Saturday 28th March to Sunday 5th April on AMACOS SPORTS HUB with 16 individuals to participate.
Registration commences today by 4 pm and will last for 96 hours(4pm on Friday) after which draws will be conducted by 8pm.
Speaking with Press Club MAPOLY,CEO Nairasports,Hassan AbdulSalam says the competition intends to test students knowledge of Sports and also reduce boredom.
"Looking at the suspension of academic and sporting activities and most of the students will be bored and lonely, we decide to test their knowledge of sports to make everyone lively and kill boredom.
"We encourage everyone to abide with the preventive measures to curb COVID-19, stay at home and still feel the atmosphere of academics and the sporting world"
The co-organizer of the competition,Faruq Ajao told PCM that the Sports competition is organised to bring oneness to the department.
"AMACOS Rep Your team is a sporting quiz competition among all students across the department to test their knowledge on sports.
"This is the first of it kind in the department and we want to use this event to bring oneness to the department since that is the aim of sport generally"
