COVID-19: MAPOLY begins online lectures

Following the closure of all academic institutions across the country as a result of the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic has commenced online lectures for students to keep them engaged while at home.

PressClub Mapoly (PCM) gathered that the online lectures commenced on Monday following the directive by the polytechnic management.

It would be recalled that the Education Minister, Mallam Adamu Adamu had on April 3rd directed all Nigerian tertiary institutions to begin online lectures to keep students busy while the lockdown lasts.

PCM learnt that the management had mandated departmental presidents as well as
class representatives to create platforms for the online classes and also instructed lecturers to resume lectures for the students online.

The department of Mass Communication; Business Administration, Accountancy; Hospitality Management and others have commenced lectures on Telegram and WhatsApp platforms.

PCM also gathered some of the lecturers have started taking attendance for the online lectures as manadated by the management.The lectures run from 10 am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm Monday to Friday.
