COVID-19: MAPOLY Mgt. Releases E-learning Academic Calender

The Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta has approved an adjusted e-learning academic calendar for the 2018/2019 session to mitigate the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic on academic activities.

The Head Public Relations and Protocol of the Polytechnic, Mr Yemi Ajibola disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

Ajibola said the decision was made at an academic board meeting held by the management on Wednesday.

According to the PRO, the e-learning calendar stipulates round up of lectures and continuous assessment for the first semester via the e-learning platform @https://lms.mapolyng.com
between August 17- 30.

While the E- lectures and activities for first semester is expected to end on August, 30.

Thereafter, students are to proceed on break to prepare for the second semester resumption between August 31st to September 2nd.

The E-learning for second semester begins tentatively on September 7th for all regular students.

Lectures and Continuous Assessment (CA) for Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) students for first semester begins on August 17th and end on September 13th.

Also, SIWES students will proceed on a one week break between September 14th to September 20th.

Tentatively, the SIWES students are to resume e-learning for second semester on September 27th.

Ajibola stated that the first semester examination will hold in phases when school resumes physically.

He urged students to fully acquaints themselves with the new academic calendar.
