MAPOLY SUG election: SRC screens 14 SUELECO hopefuls

No fewer than 14 students have been enrolled and screened for the next Students Union Electoral Committee (SUELECO) ahead of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Students’ Union election.

The screening was conducted on Friday by the members of the Students Representatives’ Council(SRC) which was headed by the Deputy SRC speaker, Sodiq Elegbe.

During the screening, the candidates vowed to ensure free and fair election process ahead of the next SUG election.

According to Idris Habib Alade, a student of Civil Engineering, promised to be free and fair during his time as SUELECO chairman.

"I promise to ensure peaceful election, Discipline"

Idris also noted that: " there is no offense in a place of lawlessness".

Another candidate who is also in the race gave reason for her ambition to secure the SUELECO post.

Erinfolami Habitat, a student of Pharmaceutical Technology who is interested in the electoral committee said she had no mission but interested in the SUELECO committee.

Ganiyat, however disclosed that she is also a welfare director of National Association of Ogun State Students(NAOS). "I’m a straight forward person and believe in transparency" Ganiyat said.

The Chairman of the screening committee,Sodiq Elegbe told PCM reporter, Alex Adedamola who covered the exercise that the result will be made available to the public after final screening by the Directorate of Students’ Affairs (DSA).
