The Speaker of the students Representative Council Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta, Femi Owoeye has given the reasons why the National Diploma one(ND1) students were excluded from obtaining the SRC form.
PRESS CLUB MAPOLY had earlier reported that the Students Electoral Committee has begin the sale of form for students to contest for any positions for the Students Representatives Council.
In a statement by the SUELECO PRO, Vincent Stella said that sales of form commence on the 15th of February, 2021 and closes on the 18th of February,2021 12pm as the screening is going to hold 3pm on Friday 19th 2021.
He said further that HND 1 students with 2.85 in their result are allowed to contest.
According to the statement, "The sales of form commence on the 15th of February, 2021 and closes on the 18th of February,2021 12pm as the screening is going to hold 3pm on Friday 19th 2021."
Requirements:
1. HND1 Students with a minimum of 2.85 CGPA as at the last ND result.
2. Must be a registered student of MAPOLY.
3. Collection of forms from the Student Representative Council(SRC) starts from Monday 15th February, 2021 and closed on Thursday 18th February,2021 by 12noon.
4. All applicants must be accompanied with evidence of school fees payment to date, the last statement of result.
5. Screening of all applicants holds on Friday 19th February, 2021 at SRC chamber. The price of form is N2000 (Two thousand Naira only).

Reacting to the exclusion of ND 1 students, MVP told PRESS CLUB MAPOLY that the Constitution has given the requirements for students to contest and their results are not ready for now.
He said further that their is time frame for the election which it must not exceed.
According to him, "It’s the Constitution we are following, it says that students should with 2.85 can contest, now that their (ND 1) results are not ready that means they can’t contest but we are working hard to make sure that the results is ready as soon as possible.
" The Constitution also states when the election must hold and we all are expecting the results to come out as soon, we must conduct the election because if we don’t, we might not have SRC next session" he said
