AMACOS 2021: AMEC screens 27 aspirants, holds election Monday

The Association of Mass Communication Electoral Committee(AMEC) on Friday screened a total of 27 aspirants vying for various elective positions in the department.

The screening committee was headed by the AMEC Chairman, Oluwafemi Balogun with other members of the committee was closely supervised by the committee staff adviser, Mr. Lekan Akinola.

Among the aspirants, Oseni Toheeb (Arowojobe) and Sanusi Ridwan(Babakay) are the two presidential hopefuls screened for the election.

AMEC Chairman, Oluwafemi Balogun in a statement made available to Press Club MAPOLY disclosed that the AMACOS election will hold on Monday.

Balogun stated that the voters are expected to come along with their first semester exam pass, AMACOS Receipt (Duely signed and stamped) and a photocopy of school fees receipt (Duely signed and stamped) for voting(optional).

"AMEC is gladly informing you all about the AMACOS Elections which will be holding on 1st, March 2021. "

"We’re urging all student of Mass Communication Departments to be available in their various classes and also observe COVID-19 protocols as the manifesto will commenced at exactly 9am to 10am while elections will start by 11am to 4pm.

"This is to notify all the student of Mass communication department that we’ve made the school fees receipt optional while other criterial remain compulsory for the upcoming AMACOS ELECTION.

"AMACOS RECEIPT(DUELY SIGNED AND STAMPED) & LAST SEMESTER EXAM PASS REMAIN COMPULSORY CRITERIA FOR VOTERS IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION.

"No Nose Mask, No Vote".
