The newly elected President of National Association of Professional Accountancy Students (NAPAS), Samuel Mattew has revealed that he is ready to deliver the department and return it’s lost glory.
Samuel was elected as the new president with 142 votes, while Mrsanuwe James was to be the opponent polled 104.
Other executives elected include the Financial Secretary-elect, Igwe who had 169 votes while his opponent Olaogun polled 96 vote. Gbenga emerged as the Welfare Director-elect with 169 vote while his opponent Akintola score 75 vote.
Adebiyi was elected as the General Secretary-elect with 98 vote while his opponent Adenuga score 30 vote. Adebayo was voted as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) with 100 vote while his opponent Olamilekan polled 44.
Reacting after the victory, the President- elect told PRESS CLUB MAPOLY that he planned to have a better department
According to him, “All glory to God for allowing me to win this election, I planned on having a better department and helping accountancy with some things that have been difficult which I know that by God’s grace it will be possible”
Meanwhile, Mrsanuwe James revealed that he will support Mattew in delivering the best.
“Well it’s not bad, in an election their will surely be a winner and loser and that’s not the end of life their are still opportunities. I will surely support his administration, he has been my friend since ND days” he said
