A Higher National Diploma (HND 2) student of Mass Communication, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Hassan Abdulsalam has emerged as the National Public Relations Officer of National Union of Lagos State Students (NULASS).
He was declared the winner after he went unopposed at the 2021 NULASS National Election at Federal College of Education, Akoka, Lagos by the Chairman Independent Electoral Committee, Ismail Parasio
Reacting after the win, Hassan disclosed that the mission is to rebrand and revive the lost glory of the union.
According to him, "My plan is to bridge the gap between the union and its publics, to sustain a mutual relationship and rebrand the image of the union.
He appreciated the efforts of NULASS MAPOLY chapter in his emergence and other stakeholders.
"My first appreciation goes to God Almighty for giving me the opportunity, my parents for the support, NULASS MAPOLY, MSSN MAPOLY , Press club MAPOLY, National Association of Ibeju lekki students and NYCN Ibeju Lekki for their effortless support during the aspiration, their support is key to my emergence," he said.
Meanwhile, a final year student of University of Lagos, Shasanya Akinola emerged as the National President while Edu Adam Olayiwola emerged as the General Secretary.
Others include; Olufowobi Hafiz Remilekun from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria emerged as the Vice President, Muhammed Kudirat Omobolanle from Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED) emerged as the Financial Secretary.
