The AB Olumo of Kegite Club, Chief Agboola Fatai has debunked rumours making the rounds that Kegite is a club for dullards and cult members.

Speaking to Press Club MAPOLY in its three-day organized programme to orientate and welcome new students on campus, Agboola stated that the club is founded with the objectives of lecturing students against examination malpractice, cultism and rape.

He gave a brief history of the club, revealing that the club started at Ile-Ife (OAU) in the year 1962 and was formerly called Palm Wine Club.

"Students of the club are called comrade, while non-students are called fellows.

"A dullard cannot be a Kegite member. It is a club for the brilliant ones," he said.
