SUG Election: SUELECO rolls out modalities, schedule

The Students Union Electoral Committee (SUELECO) has rolled out the modalities and schedule ahead of the Students Union Government (SUG) Election slated to hold July 14.

In a copy of the modalities signed by the SULECO Chairman, Oluwaseyifunmi Adedeji and its General Secretary, Lateef Ali, the election will be conducted via the electoral college as approved by the Students Representative Council (SRC) and the Academic Board.

It said that only elected delegates are eligible to vote, adding that candidates can only be voted for but cannot vote.

It said, “Each candidate must provide one agent. The agents are not eligible to vote. Delegates must come to the election venue with their 2019/2020 school fees receipt and duly stamped exam pass for the last semester examination.

“Delegates are to obtain the form for free from the SRC chamber on Thursday, 8th July, 2021 and returned same not later than 3:00pm on Friday, 9th July, 2021.

For the schedule, it stated that screening of aspirants will take place on Friday, 9th July, the manifesto on 13th July and the Election proper on 14th July
