…screening results to be out on Monday

The Students Union Electoral Committee (SUELECO) on Friday screened 11 aspirants vying for Students Union Government (SUG) offices.
Three aspirants were absent from the screening with two aspirants due to health issues while the other aspirant gave no excuse, according to SUELECO.
The aspirants screened by SUELECO include: Jolayemi Michael of Marketing aspiring for the office of President, Babatunde AbdGaniu Abiola of Computer Science aspiring for the office of President, Keruwole Sulaimon Okikiola of Mass Communication aspiring for the office of Public Relations Officer, Aderani Oluwafunmilayo of Pharmaceutical Technology aspiring for the office of Treasurer, Adeboye Tobiloba Samuel of Accountancy aspiring for the office of Financial Secretary, Samuel Ayodeji Oluwagbemi of Chemistry aspiring for the office of Welfare Director and Akinsoya Abiodun Quadri of Business Administration aspiring for the office of General Secretary.
Others include: Olamilekan Moses of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) aspiring for the office of Treasurer, Kayode Juwon Ope (Jaywon) of Electrical Electronics Engineering aspiring for the office of Financial Secretary, Okewunmi Lukmon (HORLYBEE) of Civil Engineering aspiring for the office of Welfare Director, Akinlade Emmanuel Oluwaseun of Computer Engineering aspiring for the office of Public Relations Officer (PRO).
Responding to what will happen to the aspirants who were absent, the SUELECO Chairman, Oluwaseyifunmi Adedeji said that such decision lies with the Directorate of Students Affairs, noting that there might be a chance for them to have their screening on Monday.
He also revealed that the collation of the results has not been carried out due to their absence, adding that by Monday the results should be released.
The aspirants missing were Mosaku Kehinde Adams of Marketing, Bankole Babatunde Yusuf of Mass Communication and Adeleke Bukola Blessing of Business Administration.
The debate for the election is billed to hold on Tuesday with Press Club MAPOLY moderating affairs while the election takes place on Wednesday.
