For better or worse. Truth be told, the love shared amongst some friends on campus should be documented as it would make a good documentary. And if it is a story, would you not like to read such a story where two friends are the steps through which both were uplifted from nobody to somebody?
It is no fiction if such story has been written or would be. It happens. Only that you and I have probably not come across someone whose friendship has been an array of stairs to their achievements.
Think of it, there are different friends on campus who handbag one another. And what’s the essence of keeping a friend who is not well-known with you on campus, be it a lady or a guy? If truly you have pride in a friend, why not show them off to others? Not a hide-and-seek friendship.
Always, we see friends who are called rat and mouse. It is lovely, and I pray to have more (as if the ones I have are not enough). Really, good friends are not enough. Good companions are like duvet on a chilly night— they shoo your cold away.
People keep company because of one reason or the other. But generally, we keep company of those who do the same things we like do. Those who are dreamers as we are. Those who are career person as we are.
No friendship lacks features, be it good or bad. But why we keep the friendship is left to the friends to decide if the friendship will be worthwhile.
The reason we keep a company is no question to be answered because what benefits one group may seem horrible to another. However, keep the company that suits your mission, not the one that destroys your vision in a friction that ends in non-fiction told in tears.
