As we all would always say, “Opportunity comes, but once”. But does opportunity really come but once? That’s a billion-dollar question.
What is an Opportunity?
Opportunity is a time or set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something.
The fact is, opportunities never come just once. Opportunities may be lost, but opportunities will always come knocking on your door again and again but most of the time in disguise. They never show up again the same way they first appeared; but they keep coming. It’s now left for you to utilize it.
If you missed today’s opportunity, another opportunity might surface tomorrow. But when the opportunity shows up tomorrow, you might not be able to handle it just because you missed the lessons or advantages you should have learned from yesterday’s opportunity.
The creator has spread before us a myriad of endless opportunities that are not tied to any person or institution. Opportunities are more or less God-sent, using men to dispatch them.
You Must Not Miss any Opportunity!
If you miss an opportunity today, you would have to pay the price tomorrow by working much harder to make up for it. If you are not strong enough to work much harder, then you will find yourself always passing by tomorrow’s opportunities.
And the thing is, if you allow yourself to believe that opportunities would always come, you will soon start ignoring and mismanaging them, believing that there will be another one.
In the end, you will just keep passing over opportunities repeatedly and when this happens you will become “POOR”.
This can be traced to an acronym that logically defines Poor as:
P – Passing
O – Over
O – Opportunities
R – Repeatedly
Opportunity beckons at you daily. That project you are assigned with at work, school, or anywhere you find yourself is an opportunity for your shine. A popular quote states that “one opportunity if properly utilized will always produce four new opportunities.”
Step out today and make the most of every opportunity. Step out today and create opportunities of success, of new business and ideas.
Start looking for the best way to make the most of everything you have now. Your job, your education, your relationship, your marriage, family etc.
Never believe there is a second chance, you may never get one. Instead make the most of what you have now. And lastly, quit the habit of waiting for opportunities, rather cultivate the profitable habit of going out, creating opportunities.
