A leader is a person who influences a group of people towards the achievement of a goal. A leader must be a hero to his followers.
Being a leader doesn’t mean you are superior to your followers. A lot of leaders have missed it because of this mistaken belief and mentality. Moreso, a leader doesn’t look down on his followers.
It will also be interesting for you to note that a leader should always consider the opinions of his followers and learn to be a mentor to them. Leaders create a space of contribution and empowerment to the people they lead. They don’t create fear in their followers, rather they make them bigger and bolder.
Dear student, don’t become a leader for leading sake, instead lead to make positive impacts so that when you are no more, you will be remembered in a good way, as a life of no impact is a life of no value.
Remember, you are a watchword to your followers, a model they look up to. You are to serve and not to be served. That’s who a leader is.
