While growing up, my dad would warn me against the dangers,the great deals and miraculous healing of not taking fruits especially the oranges. I ignored him with the assumption that he was only trying to turn me a vegetarian like himself. Sometimes he need scare me associating my not being tall to my despise for fruit. My long for being tall tricked me into taking some of it.
All this went for long but i grew no height but truthfully sickness was far from me. Discovering I was not growing any tall as I had assumed I stopped, with the mindset that my Dad really got me to his side with his trick.
Unfortunately, two months after I had to book an appointment to meet with a doctor as I discovered my health isn’t stable and the cause was unknown. But then the doctor struck my heart with him diagnosing my illness as a result of me lacking Vitamins and not taking fruit. And i was in awe! Like for real! “An orange a day keeps you away from the doctor” he concluded. indirectly the doctor was telling me I could avoid his injections if I take fruits often. I decided to research on my own and I stumbled into this. It might interest you to know more about the fruits especially ORANGEs.
Oranges are excellent source of vitamin C. They are also very good source of dietary fibre (roughage: indigestible portion of food derived from plants).Oranges are also good source of vitamin B including vitamin B1,panthothenic acid(vitamin B5:essential nutrients also found in both plants and animals).it also has in it vitamin A,calcium and potassium.
One of the benefits of orange intake is that, it lowers the ischemic stroke (obstruction within the blood vessel that supplies food to the brain) risk for women.
However,those who eats the highest amount of citrus in this oranges usually have a 19 percent lower risk of ischemic stroke than women who consume the least.
The intake of oranges or orange juice in the first two years of life may reduce the risk of developing childhood leukaemia.
Oranges also helps to combat the formation of free radicals known to cause cancer. Adequate vitamin C intake is necessary and very beneficial as an antioxidant.
Another interesting thing about orange is that,it supports all heart health and also help to fight skin damage caused by the sun and pollution. It reduces wrinkles and improve overall skin texture.
Finally, a very high fibre intakes from orange and other fruits as well as vegetables are associated with a lowered risk of colorectal cancer.
Like I said earlier Intake of oranges will save you a lot stress from your doctor.
