Mapoly Radio Hits Airwaves as 99.7

The long-awaited news of the operation of MAPOLY radio has finally come to an end as the radio hit the airwaves on Saturday.

The radio which tested transmission via the frequency 99.7 comes on the heels of a license issued to it by the National Broadcasting Corporation in 2015.

Press Club MAPOLY gathered that some lecturers in the department of Mass Communication were on air during the test transmission.

Press Club MAPOLY also has it on good authority that the radio will commence activities fully soon.

According to a reliable source, the test transmission was to validate the potency of the radio before the programme schedule get released.

It will be recalled that students, over the years, have been agitating for the operation of a radio station on campus.
