The Association of Mass Communication Electoral Commission (AMEC) has said that it will adopt online voting for the forthcoming election in the department.

Speaking to Press Club MAPOLY, its secretary, Kassim Omogbolahan said that due to violence and stress of previous elections, the Commission has chosen to conduct an online election.

Omogbolahan said that voting will be done on the AMACOS website.

He added, however, that due to security concerns, there will be a necessity for the change of default password.

He affirmed that since every student already have their departmental portal where they pay their departmental fee, it makes it possible for every student to vote and participate in the election.

He revealed that the election will hold on 26th November.

Omogbolahan said, “Aspirants should know that everything in this life is about risk-taking. We all risk everything to get what we want as it is not possible for all aspirants to be elected.”

He therefore urged all aspirants to aspire again and put more effort in the next election if they lose the forthcoming one.
