MAPOLY Tourism Club inaugurates new executives, commissions bus-shed by Adebisi Fawas

Tourism Club of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic has inaugurated new executives and also commissioned the club’s bus shed.

The school councillor and staff adviser, Dr Karounwi B.O inaugurated the new executives on Wednesday at Babalakin Hall .

Dr Karounwi also commissioned the tourism bus shed and equally inducted over 20 new members to the club.

Speaking at the event was the incumbent president of the club, Tourist Oluwole Oluwatobi Obanla who expressed his profound happiness towards the occasion and he equally promised to invite more members to join the club.

Obanla said, "I am very happy. It has always been my dream to travel and visit God’s Creatures and I’m going to invite more people to the club because nowadays, students don’t know the importance of this club on campus."

Similarly, Tourist Olaosebikan Ayobami, the immediate past president of the club also expressed how excited he was handing over to someone who he deemed more capable to steer the affairs of the club than he did.

Ayobami in his remark emphasised on the objectives of the club, adding that it is categorized into four cardinal points which are: Educational Empowerment, Social Integration, Economic empowerment and the World Wide Tour.

He stated that during his tenure, he was able to achieve the economic empowerment objective by enrolling members into vocational training which birthed lots of success.

He, however, advised the new executives and members to work together so as to achieve the desired aims and objectives of the club.
