A newly-admitted student, Adekunle Olaseni has been caught for allegedly defrauding his colleagues of more than N13000.

Information at Press Club MAPOLY disposal reveals that Olaseni who allegedly conned his unascertained victims with different tricks used the money realised to gamble.

Olaseni collected money from some of his colleagues under the pretence that he needed some money to travel home.

He was also alleged to have told some other colleagues he would get them copies of The Punch Newspaper.

Nemesis caught up with him when he was he was handed over to the operatives of the Observation Post Corp Services (OPCS) on last Wednesday.

Press Club MAPOLY learnt that one of his relatives who was contacted settled the debt owed by Olaseni.

However, one of his victims identified as Cosmos said Olaseni owed N4000 but he was eventually given N3500.

Press Club MAPOLY reliably gathered that Olaseni who had abstained from school because of the debt has resumed to school since the incident abated on Thursday.

When contacted, Chief Security Officer, Adekunle Adekoya confirmed the incident.

He said the father of Oluwatobi paid back the money to the victims of the fraud.
