A fresh graduate and a prospective Corp member of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Okeowo Afeez Wale on Thursday, was hit by a vehicle leaving him in a state of coma.
He immediately lost consciousness and was rushed to Ikeja hospital where he was confirmed to be in a state of coma due to a head injury sustained from the accident.
Getting across to the victim’s father on the phone, Mr. Jubril Okeowo, narrated how the incident occurred.
Afeez, according to his father, had left home in Ejigbo for a special assignment and was hit by a car at Iyana Isolo.
He said "I was not there when the incident occurred, I was informed on the phone and I had to quickly rush there. On getting to the hospital in Ikeja where they took him, he was referred to Federal Medical Center at Ebute Metta in Lagos.
"I’m presently at the hospital and as I am speaking to you, the doctor asked us to deposit N800,000 cash now to start treatment and run some tests. He stated.
Mr. Okeowo, therefore, solicits the financial support of people to fast-track the commencement of treatment in earnest to save his son’s life.
