He said, "It’s very shocking, and it is a reflection of the general insecurity in Nigeria, there’s an urgent need for all of us to cooperate with the government particularly law enforcement agents to ensure that this type of event is arrested because when we begin to lose a student in this way, It means we are destroying the future of Nigeria."
"Very shocking, as a teacher, we have responsibility confirmed on us by the profession, every teacher is a local parent, so she’s my daughter by the fact that she was a student of MAPOLY."
"The people we train today in various schools, are our future leaders, therefore when we begin to pick them and destroy them one after the other, which is a serious issue."

He, therefore, advised students to be cautious whenever they’re traveling.
He said, "They must also exercise caution as regards the period in which they want to travel from one point to another, they should not be late in the evening, and it is in the night that evil is perpetrated so students must be very careful as regards that, not only students but every one of us must begin to caution ourselves."
"When you want to take any public transport, do it at recognize places, through this, they can be able to monitor the movement of people from one place to another and in the polytechnic."
"We have equally liaise with security agents, they do regular surveillance from Iyana Oloke to Alagada, and this regular movement of security along that road has been very helpful, particularly in warding off criminals. These are the things we have put in place and that is the reason you hardly hear anything happening."
