The Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic has fixed a new date for the continuation of the second-semester examination.
The exam, according to the Student Union Government, has been rescheduled to hold on the 7th, November 2022.
The SUG, under the aegis of, Comrade Sodiq Ajani, revealed this in a statement released on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.
It reads, "The Students Union Executive under the affable leadership of Comrade Sodiq Damilola Ajani (OPTIMUM) wishes to apprise all mapaites that the second-semester examination continues on Monday, 7th November 2022.
"Students are expected to reach out to their various departments for the updated Timetable. We enjoined Mapaites to start preparing for their Exams as soon as possible."
Recall that the management has postponed the second-semester examination about five times since August, and this has made students of the institution express their displeasure towards the development and have lost trust in the school.
Adeoye Omowunmi, a Mass Communication student expressed her frustration with the postponement of the examination
She said," I’m tired of the school not being organized. why will they pass across information that the exam continues when they haven’t reached an agreement with the appropriate quarters? they made the entire student look stupid with their decisions. They kept shifting it repeatedly, and it will eventually make the students lose confidence in them. But I want to believe that this one scheduled to hold on Monday is true because I can’t afford to keep being stranded at school without enough food and money." She complained.
Kehinde, a Pharmaceutical Technology student commenting said," it is possible for the exam to hold as they may want the freshers to resume with immediate effect so that they can generate more money." she said.
She, however, expressed uncertainty about the examination holding on Monday as scheduled
She said, "the possibility of the examination taking place is 50/50 but the management might not change it."
Reacting also is Victoria, a Mass Communication student who advised that students should be prepared irrespective of the examination taking place or not.
She said, "they might change it, and they might not change it, everybody should just prepare, let’s endeavor to read to be on the safer side."
Habibat, a Mass Communication student said "the management and the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, MAPOLY chapter, have resolved the issues more than twice, and yet, the exam was being postponed. I will be happy if it won’t be changed so that one can graduate."
However, when contacted for the authenticity of the newly scheduled date for the continuation of the second-semester examination, the Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic, Yemi Ajibola said the exam would hold on "Monday, 7th November 2022.
