The Students Union Electoral committee has sworn in five Students Representative Council Executives for the 2022/2023 academic session.
The SUELECO sworn in the newly elected executives on Thursday, at Jibodu hall within the school premises.
This was after the SRC election, which held on Wednesday.
AHU-Tobi Suru was sworn in as the Speaker of SRC, Ibilola Al-ameen as the Deputy Speaker, Babalola Fawaz as the deputy clerk, while Bellow Yusuf was was sworn in as the clerk of the council.
Speaking at the event, the Directorate Of Student Affairs, Olusegun Anikan said the SRC constitution did not allow student that didn’t do his/her National Diploma in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic to contest for any post of executive in the council.
He therefore advised the elected representatives to follow the constitution, as he asked them to “feel free to meet the honorable representative of your department in any issues occur”.
Press Club Crew gathered that any student that want to go for the post of speaker, Chief weep, deputy speaker and clerk must be from HND and must have 3.00 in academic performance.
Mr Anikan therefore urged the executives to be versatile with the speaker.
“I will not support someone that is not carrying the students along” He added.
He also advised the students to share their observation with the school management, and not exposed the school on social media because it will affect the students when looking for jobs after school.
In the same vein, he announced that the student elections will hold early January of 2023.
