Students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere, Abeokuta have commended the responsiveness of their lecturers.
This was revealed when Press Club MAPOLY interviewed students randomly on campus.
Some of the students expressed their satisfaction with the level of interaction
that exists between the students and their lecturers.
They said their lecturers have been humble and attentive to their needs both in the class and on campus.
According to an ND II student of Accountancy, Komolafe Daniel, she would rate his lecturers 85 per cent. He said they are very friendly and accommodating.
An ND II student of the department of Computer Science who pleaded anonymity said there are no laid down protocols that hinders them from seeing their lecturers.
On the reason why some lecturers are hostile, he stressed that it depends on the way students address their lecturers.
“Many students are unruly and this attitude makes them disrespect and misuse their freedom,” he said.
He also stated that another reason is that some lecturers are not close to their students because they are in separate buildings.
Micheal Soyebi, an ND II Science Laboratory Technology student said, “we reach our lecturers through the HOC. I will rate my lecturers 70 per cent, we have the best of the lecturers on campus.”
However, some of the students complained of not receiving lectures most of the time, they said this is usually without prior notice.
A Computer Science student who pleaded anonymity, condemned the learning environment, which he said is not conducive due to failure in power supply.
