Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Students’ Union Government, has cancelled a friendly football match between the Mass Communication and Marketing Departments that had been scheduled to take place at the MAPOLY Sport Center.
In a statement issued to Press Club MAPOLY on Thursday, the SUG disclosed that friendly matches is an exciting way for students to socialize and showcase their skill but the safety of such student is also paramount in this time of insecurity and 2023 general election which is on its way.

The statement partly read, “We recognize that friendly matches is an exciting way for students to socialize and showcase their skills, in light of the recent security challenges in the country, we cannot afford to compromise the safety of our students, we are taking this decision in the best interest of all students.
“We encourage all students to continue to engage in sports activities, but only under the guidelines and regulations set out by the students’ union executives. We implore all students to continue to observe protocols while engaging in sports activities” SUG stated.
The Students union Government, however apologized for any inconvenience this cancellation might had caused, and appreciated all students for their mutual understanding and cooperation.
