Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Union Government advised the students to pay their school fees on time to avoid paying penalty fees attached to late payment.

According to a statement signed by the Students’ Union PRO, William Bamidele on Monday, the school management has reinstated the penalty fee on late school fees payment.

“The penalty fee is expected to take effect immediately and we urge all students to make their payment as soon as possible to avoid being caught in the web of the penalty”

In the statement, the union further explained that the action taken by the management was as a result of the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSNIP) agitations on the overdue salary payment of the staff.

“This decision was made as a result of agitations from the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSNIP) about the payment of salaries to staff who have not been remunerated for months”.

However, the union president, Adelola Hezekiah appealed to the management to address the request of the staff to avoid disruption in the academic calendar.

“We also call on the management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, to address the issues raised by NASU and SSANIP and ensure that staff salaries are paid promptly to avoid disruption in the academic calendar”.
