Attendance, A Criteria to Write Semester Exams In MAPOLY

The Directorate of Students’ Affairs, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Dr. Kolawole Amos has emphasized that seventy percent attendance is now a criterion for students to write semester examinations in the institution.

According to an internal memo signed by the DSA, students’ attendance during lecture periods in all departments across the institution is now pertinent.

The statement partly read, “The Directorate of Students’ Affairs in line with management directions would like to reiterate the Academic Board on students attendance during the lecture period to all departments.

“It is required of all students to attain seventy percent (70%) attendance in all courses.

“Failure to meet this requirement such student shall not be allowed to write the semester examination in such course(s)”.

He, however, said students taking carry-over course (s) will only need a minimum of fifty percent attendance to qualify to write the  examination.
