NAOSS holds orientation for fresh Students

The National Association of Osun State Students, MAPOLY Chapter, held an orientation for the new students on the impact of digitalization on academic performance.

MAPOLYPress gathered this information during the orientation program held at the 1500A accountancy building, on Wednesday.

The speaker, Comrade Adepoju Adekunle addressed the students and picked from the impact of the Internet and how it can be used to get information and improve knowledge.

He further revealed some of the students who got expensive things from their parents when coming to school such as; laptops and phones but who later use those gadgets for something else.

He said, “Nigeria is a country that is getting more advance every day, our newly elected president might sit and tell everyone to submit their results to Abuja if there are any job opportunities, someone that didn’t do well in the study how will the person get the job? never say “School na scam”.

“Most assignments given to you in class, when you get to Google you will get more information about it, that is the importance of social media in our academy.

He, however, advised the students to work hard in your academy for them, not to regret it later.

The President of the NAOSS, Comrade Oludare, Marvelous also shares light on the ambition he had before becoming the president.

He stated that “It has always been my aim before becoming the president to organize an orientation for the freshers, to lead them through the right part and encourage them about their academy life on campus.

“The NAOSS on campus should always put more effort into whatever they do, that is when you can get the good aspects of it.

“We are still expecting more students on campus to be part of us”
