Abiodun Takes Oath of Office For Second Term

The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has been sworn in for a second term in office.

Abiodun was sworn in the earlier hours on Monday, by the Chief Justice of Ogun State, Mosunmola Dipeolu.

The Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, had earlier been sworn in at the event held at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.

Abiodun, the Iperu-born defeated Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with over 13,000 votes to emerge the winner of the March 18 governorship election in Ogun.

However, Adebutu has since dragged Abiodun and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the election tribunal, challenging the outcome of the election.
