The Chairman of Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Mrs. Seun Boye amidst other Professional media bodies pays tribute to the late erudite scholar, Prof. Olaiwola Muraino Oso, and revealed him as a resourceful man and a great pillar of support to the NIPR not only the Ogun State Chapter but also in the national body.
Mrs Boye made this known during an interview with one of our correspondents, on Wednesday at a day tribute held in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.
She disclosed that the deceased was a resourceful academic, who pleasantly chaired and contributed to the Ogun State Chapter’s publication committee that produced the scholarly acclaimed IMAGE MAKER Journal.
Her words, “Before his demise, Prof. Lai Oso was always a bundle of activity, driving meaningful and much-needed advances in our industry.
“He had been a great pillar of support to the NIPR, not only the Ogun State Chapter but also the national body, by serving in various capacities.
“Prof. Lai Oso was a resourceful academic, who pleasantly chaired and contributed to the Ogun State Chapter’s publication committee that produced the scholarly acclaimed IMAGE MAKER Journal.
“He served in the NIPR Education Committee which saw to the improved syllabus content of the Institute’s professional certificate and diploma examinations.
“I recall that he chaired the National Conference and Annual General Meeting Committee of the highly successful and unique “Abeokuta 2002.” It was the first time NIPR had several platforms such as Community Relations and African Night, among other showpieces.
“He was even going to make his contributions to the next edition of the Journal which is billed for launch and unveiling at the forthcoming Annual Colloquium of Ogun NIPR in Abeokuta. Through this publication, our Chapter has raised the bar of professional practice and continues to bridge gaps in knowledge”.
