MAPOLY student in court for allegedly stealing laptop

A-21-year-old student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Israel Esuh has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in Isabo for allegedly stealing Laptop from his colleague’s room.
The suspect, an ND II student of the Department of Mass Communication is facing a count charge of alleged stealing.
Esuh however pleaded not guilty and was granted bail N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The accused was said to have stolen a mini Samsung Laptop valued at N64, 000 property of Solomon Adedotun.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Idowu Ogunleye disclosed that both the accused and the complainant live in the same building.
She said, “the accused had been caught in the act consecutively, which made the members of the house suspect him when the Laptop was stolen. As of now, the Laptop has not been recovered from him”.
Ogunleye said crime is contrary and punishable under sections 383 and 390(9) of the criminal code laws of Ogun State, Nigeria 2006.
