Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta has revealed that Sunday, March 12th is the final deadline for registration of all students for the first semester, 2016/17 academic session.
The decision-making body of the institution also said that students who fail to register fully will not partake in the first semester examinations and will lose his/her studentship.
This was contained in a release issued by the Head, Public Relations unit of the institution, Sulaimon Adebiyi on Tuesday.
It would be recalled that the management indefinitely postponed the deadline earlier scheduled for Friday, February 10th following pleas by students and other stakeholders.
The release however stated that the management will not go back on the new deadline date.
It also stated that the first phase of examinations for the HND students will commence on Monday, March 20th as scheduled.
The release reads, “the management of the polytechnic has given midnight of Sunday, 12th March, 2017 as final deadline for registration of all categories of students for the first semester, 2016/2017 academic session.
“It will be recalled that the earlier deadline was Friday, 10th February, 2017 and was extended following several pleas.
“Management therefore reiterates that, Sunday 12th March is sacrosanct as it will not entertain any request or appeal for a postponement.
“Meanwhile, the first phase of the first semester 2016/2017 examination (for HND I and HND II students) will commence on Monday, 20th March, 2017.
“By this development, a list of ineligible students (comprising of students who fail to register on or before Sunday, 12th March, 2017) will be published. Those students, whose names are published, will be ineligible to participate in the examination.”
