The Directorate of Student Affairs, SRC of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, has inaugurated 10 new Students Union Electoral Committee, SUELECO, executives for the 2023/2024 academic session.
The new executives were inaugurated on Tuesday at the Director of Students Affairs Office.
The event had the Directorate board in attendance, which included the Director of Student Affairs, Dr Amos Kolawole, the Sub-Dean of Student Affairs, Architect Sholanke and the Students Affairs Officer, Mr Segun Odeyemi.
Also present was the SRC Speaker, Rt. Attu Suru Tiwaloye, Deputy speaker Ibilola Aliameen and Clerk of the house, Hon Yussuf .
During the event, Matthew Isaac from the department of Office Technology Management, OTM was inaugurated as the chairman alongside nine others.
Giving his speech, the Aliameen said the screening process, which took place on December 20, 2023, at the SRC Chamber, composed of four Honourables.
In his words, the committee evaluated the candidates based on five criteria: Dressing, Level of Confidence, Intelligence, Team Spirit, and Clarity & Articulation.
He further stated that each candidate was scored on a scale of 100 points for each criterion, resulting in an aggregate score that reflected their overall performance.
He therefore said that the committee ensured that the assessment was fair, objective, and transparent, with multiple judges examining different aspects of the candidates’ suitability for the role.
Other candidates who were inaugurated are; Abdulganiu Ademola in Civil Engineering as Vice chairman, Hazmat Damillola in Computer science as Secretary, Adekunle Odunayo in Pharmaceutical Technology as Public Relations Officer, Akapo Abiodun in Estate management, Sholanke Usman in Building Technology, Akinwemimo Idris in Business Administration, Elemide Ayobami in Marketing, Pelumi Heart in Mass Communication and Osinloye Daniel in Electrical Engineering as members.
