Khaf, Dolly P, Timmy Gold others win

Studentz of the department of Mass Communication have elected leaders who will steer the affairs of the association for the 2017/18 academic session.

The students who went to the polls on Friday elected Olanrewaju Oshoala (Khaf) as President, Adedolapo Adeyemi (Dolly P) as General Secretary, Timmy Gold as Financial Secretary.

Khaf polled 185 over Rotimi Olaonipekun(connection)’s 171, Dolly P had 234 votes while David Omolebi had 116 votes just as Timmy Gold got 246 over Mario’s 104.

Other officials who contested unopposed including Hamed Akewukewe (Ayoola) with 323 votes, David Adeboye (Corner Stone) with 330 votes, Rebeca Omoyale (Recca) with 345 votes, Azeez Akorede (k solo) with 348 votes, Olawale Mayowa (OTM) were declared winner for the posts of Public Relations Officer, Deputy PRO, Assistant General Secretary, Sports Director and Treasurer respectfully.

Oluwaseun Adebisi (hife-love) with 339 votes, Tawakalitu Adebiyi (Ade omoba) with 329 votes, Ridwan Sanusi (baba kay), Qudus Abiola (jacuzzy) with 343 votes and Ayomide Tijani (Alex) with 336 votes emerged Welfare Director-elect, Librarian-elect, Social Director-elect, Vice President 1-elect and Vice President 2-elect respectively.

Chairman of AMACOS Electoral Committee, David Ayinde declared them winners of the elections after six hours exercise where 377 ballot papers were issued.

Commenting on the outcome, Oshola, the AMACOS president-elect urged all students of the department including those who contested the elections to be united.

While thanking the students populace for their support, he assured of all-round development of the department.
