The Junior Chamber International, JCI, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY chapter has held its 40th convention and 41st investiture, inaugurating Abdulrazak Fatoki as its new president.
The event, which held at the institution’s Babalakin Hall on Saturday, had in attendance; Esq. MBA AICMC United Nations, Barr Habeeb Whyte, who’s a guest speaker, Prof Olugbenro Oyekan, who’s the Theme speaker, NVP Southwest D1, JCIN Amb. Mariam Omolara, who’s also a guest speaker and CEO Barods Global, JCI Sen. Babatunde Denton, who’s the event’s guest of honor, among other personalities.
Dwelling on the theme, “Sustainable Development Through Smart Technology,” Prof Oyekan delivered his speech on how to utilize technology.
He also advised young folks to try multitasking themselves, adding that it helps build one’s psychomotor.
In the same vein, he urged members of JCI to keep learning, stressing that learning gives one ideas to innovate and progress.
Speaking also, the immediate past president, Adekunle Daniel expressed joy, saying it was a year of sacrifice, and exciting moments for him.
Citing challenges he faced, “lack of members commitment and financial support almost weighed me down but I thank God we conquered it.”
He therefore advised his successor to build solid relationship with JCI alumni as well as prioritize his board members.

Delivering a powerful inaugural speech, Fatoki emphasized the importance of unity, transformation, and leadership excellence, outlining his administration’s guiding theme: T.E.C.H, Transform, Elevate, Create, and Harness.
“Harnessing our strengths together will allow us to channel our efforts toward impactful and lasting change,” he stated, urging members to embrace innovation, challenge the status quo, and drive meaningful impact in their communities.
Acknowledging the contributions of past leaders, alumni, and the outgoing president, Fatoki expressed gratitude for their unwavering commitment and vowed to build on their legacy.
“This theme is more than a motto; it is a call to action and a roadmap for our future,” he added, explaining that the organization must transform challenges into opportunities, elevate its standards of excellence, create innovative solutions, and harness the collective potential of its members.
His leadership therefore promises to position JCI MAPOLY as a force for sustainable development and community transformation.
