Background:
On Monday, Naija Confra, giving its normal update on clashes between cultists, claimed that a recent “unconfirmed killing” happened in Oluwo, MAPOLY, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The claim read, “ABEOKUTA, OGUN: We have received “UNCONFIRMED” reports of a k!ll!ng that happened few minutes ago around Oluwo in Mapoly, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
“While the details are yet to be verified, initial reports mention the names of Eiye and Buccaneers.”
However, this claim contradicts the actual location of the incident and Oluwo to be precise. It has been confirmed that Oluwo is not in MAPOLY, and not even closer to the institution. At least, a bus of 200 naira will take you to the institution.
Further findings showed that before getting to the institution from Oluwo, there are about 5 bus stop on the way which include; Iyana Oloke, Iyana Trem, Tipper Garage, Gbokoniyi, Abule Ojere.
In the same vein, having confirmed from reliable sources in Oluwo, where the incident happened, the precise location was said to be Bafog, around Oluwo axis, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Conclusion:
The claim made by Naija Confra is inaccurate and misleading. As of this moment, sources have given the same location of the incident, making the information at hand more reliable.
The claim that the incident happened in “Oluwo, MAPOLY,” has been sensed to just create internet saga and gain engagement.
However, this is highly unprofessional
