The Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Ojere, Abeokuta, Arc. (Dr.) Babatunde Jolaoso, has paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Ajayi, CFR (Torungbuwa II), the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, at the Akarigbo Palace, Ita-Oba, Sagamu.
The visit, which took place on Tuesday, 25th February 2025, aimed at strengthening institutional ties and seeking royal blessings for the polytechnic’s development.
During the visit, Arc. (Dr.) Jolaoso, who assumed office on 6th December 2024, reiterated his administration’s commitment to advancing academic excellence, infrastructural development, and fostering stronger community engagement.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining a cordial relationship with traditional institutions, recognizing their role in driving socio-economic and educational progress.
In his response, Oba Ajayi welcomed the MAPOLY delegation and commended their efforts in repositioning the institution for greater achievements.
The monarch prayed for the success of the new administration and urged the leadership team to uphold high standards of education, integrity, and innovation.
He also encouraged further collaboration between the polytechnic and the Remo community to enhance educational and economic development.
Therefore, the Rector reassured the Akarigbo of his administration’s dedication to improving infrastructure, enhancing academic programs, and prioritizing student welfare.
In the same vein, he sought the support of the Remo traditional council in strengthening educational partnerships for the institution’s continuous growth
The courtesy visit was attended by key MAPOLY officials, including Mrs. Olubunmi Elewodalu, Registrar; Alhaja Basirat Akintunde, Polytechnic Librarian; Mrs. Folashade Madariola, Bursar; Comrade Leke Adebayo, ASUP Chairman; Comrade Tajudeen Adeleye, NASU Chairman; Mrs. Feyisola Ayeni, PAR (Registrar’s Office); Mr. Yemi Ajibola, Head of Public Relations; and Mr. Bolaji Sarumi, Public Relations Officer.
The visit concluded with an exchange of pleasantries and a reaffirmation of MAPOLY’s commitment to collaborating with traditional institutions for sustainable development.
