MAPOLY Denies Partnering With COMDICT-NTI To Hold Quizathon Competition

…Tells Students To Report Suspicious Activities To DSA

The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic MAPOLY, Abeokuta, has raised an alarm over unauthorized invitations being sent to students, falsely claiming a partnership between the institution and the Committee of Directors of ICTs of Nigerian Tertiary Institutions COMDICT-NTI for a National Quizathon competition.

Students of the institution have been receiving suspicious mails from a “group or organization” called Flexisaf, informing them about a National Quizathon competition, with a prize of over 1 million naira to be won.

To gain student’s trust, on the 11th of May, a message was sent to students again, stating MAPOLY has partnered with them through COMDICT-NTI.

However, in an official statement released on Monday MAPOLY’s Public Relations Officer, PRO, Yemi Ajibola, emphasized that the institution has no formal agreement or collaboration with COMDICT-NTI or any of its representatives.

“The Management wishes to categorically state that Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has not entered into any partnership or signed any agreement with the aforementioned organisation, group, or its representatives,” the statement read.

MAPOLY therefore advised students and the general public to ignore such invitations or communications and treat them as fraudulent.

Also, the management urged students to remain vigilant and report any suspicious correspondence or activities to the Office of the Director of Students’ Affairs, DSA without delay.
