The office of the students’ affairs directorate, yesterday has summon an emergency meeting with all the students union aspirants, departmental presidents and members of the students’ representative council (SRC) which is expected to come up on Friday, March 2nd, 2018 according to the memo sent to the concerned quarters.
This new development could be in response to the recently letter written by a group of students union aspirants to the acting Rector through the office of the students’ affairs directorate over the "Omission" of the students union election in the new academic calendar.
The memo which was addressed to have been sent through the head of departments and staff advisers reads in parts, " i am directed by the Director of students Affairs to invite you to a meeting schedule for Friday, 2nd March, 2018.
It would be recalled that the new academic calendar released few weeks ago for the first semester 2017/2018 session doesn’t includes the Student’s union election in the six months academic activities for the semester.
The memo was signed by students affairs officer, Odelade T. A (Mr) for Ag. Director.
