The Sports Director of Association of Mass communication students (AMACOS), Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Comrade Azeez Akorede (K-SOLO) has lamented the poor state of the school sport centre, claiming that students of the institution have abandoned it.
K-Solo who spoke with PRESS CLUB MAPOLY said the centre has been abandoned for something else, adding that it was not equipped with modern equipment.
"Some challenges we are facing is that we don’t have enough modern training equipment and there’s no time for us to train" he said.
The sport director vowed to follow the footsteps of his predecessor, promising to establish a new AMACOS league for the students.
"The only traditional trophy we play in our amiable department is pen cup and I will also follow the trends, I have AMACOS league and jersey day to organized." he said
He however called for sponsors and cordial relationship with the ministry of sports and youth development in Ogun state for him to bring other sporting events aside from football to the department.
