Premier Cup: NAMS sports director pledges reaadiness

The sports director of National Association of Marketing Students (NAMS), comrade Awoyemi Temitope (Temmytea) has disclosed the readiness of his department for the forthcoming premier cup.

The premier cup was organized by the National Association of Ogun State Students(NAOSS) MAPOLY chapter and is expected to commence on the May 22.

Temmytea, while speaking with The Press Club Mapoly (PCM) claimed that his department is totally ready for the competition.

His words, "We are really trying our best to be ready for the competition and that is why we have dedicated some days for training; it is not easy to select players or make them available because many will be giving excuses of going for tutorials but we are really trying our best and we hope and pray God crown our efforts"

"Based on the materials (players) we have presently, I believe we can make it beyond the first round, but to win the trophy is our target and we have to go game by game"

Temmytea, who lamented the poor state of the school pitch, also disclosed that his department would play several friendly matches with other departments.

"Though we have played with Accountancy but we only use it as training, but we are playing Business administration and civil engineer students next week to fuel our preparation".

"We must be sincere, the school pitch is not hundred percent good but we have to manage what we have. Everyone knows the condition of the school pitch but I i’s not a problem." He said.
