Emphasising on the need to proffer immediate and some lasting solutions to the ancestral transportation deficiency facing students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, The Student Union Government has called for students Congress to collectively tackle the transportation menace.
This was contained in a press released jointly signed by the student union government president, Comrade Owoiya Abdulrasaq, the union public relations officer, Comrade Aduragbemi Taiwo and the media aide to the union president, Comrade Abdulqudus Ogundapo that was made available to Press Club Mapoly.
The Released statement reads in parts " Following the challenges facing students in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, the Students’ Union Government, under the leadership of Comrade Owoiya AbdulRasaq will on Thursday, hold a congress with students of her institution."
According to the released, the congress became an imperative to students as this will be the first avenue for dialogue between the Union and the progressive minded students of MAPOLY.
"Therefore, the aim of this congress is to dialogue with our students on issues affecting us on campus." It reads.
However, the student union government now called on students to be free and ready to present issues affecting them and as well suggest possible solutions, as Owomummy led administration operates an open door policy, where students’ opinions, suggestions on issues affecting them are always welcome and worked on.
The congress is scheduled to hold on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at OGD auditorium , by 10am prompt.
"We appealed to all Mapaites to continue to be law abiding, and good ambassadors of this great citadel of learning." the statement read.
